The American Indian Law Journal (AILJ) Symposium explores tribal legal practices and integrating it into western legal landscapes. By highlighting tribal approaches to justice, conflict resolution, and community governance, this symposium seeks to foster a dialogue between indigenous legal scholars, practitioners, and local non-indigenous legal professionals. The symposium examines practical strategies to incorporate indigenous principles into existing legal frameworks, promoting equity, and deconstructing colonization through law. Through this collaborative exchange, participants will gain practical methods to implement these practices while honoring the sovereignty and traditions of indigenous communities.
