Roundglass India Center, in partnership with the Consulate General of India, Seattle and Seattle University’s Technology Ethics Initiative presents a panel discussion of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure success and its potential for the Global South (hybrid event).  FREE registration is required.

OVERVIEW

India's use of technology to boost socio-economic development is one of the most celebrated achievements of the twenty first century. The country has built a reliable and safe Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) that includes a variety of online, paperless, and cashless digital services. The strategic adoption of DPI has resulted in a more vibrant economy, increased opportunities for citizens, and an efficient delivery of social services to those in the greatest need.  India’s success demonstrates how a well-designed DPI can enhance access to critical services across finance, health, education, and more for large populations. Join our panel discussion to explore how digital public infrastructure shows potential for transforming economies in the Global South and the role of transformative technologies for a just society.
