Epoch Symposium: Student Submission Information Session
Wednesday, October 9, 2024 6pm to 7pm
About this Event
What is Epoch?
Epoch is a symposium born out of the 2020 protests in response to the murders of Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and George Floyd, which caused a belated reckoning in our collective consciousness around anti-Black and -Brown racism. The symposium's goal is to provide a platform for new ideas and discussions examining legal issues related to how the Constitution shapes and affects Black and Brown lives.
This year’s symposium will provide the historical context for the current moment, highlight race equity efforts across the legal field, and reimagine a future where the legal landscape is centered around race equity and antiracism.
Want to be involved?
This year, SU BLSA and Law Review are committed to bringing Epoch back to its roots as a student-led symposium and giving students a chance to be
published! If you are interested in learning more about submitting a written piece for Epoch, check out our upcoming meeting.
