Lunch and Learn: What's the Mass of the Holy Spirit All About?
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 12:15pm to 1:30pm
About this Event
Students from all religious and spiritual backgrounds are welcome and invited to mark the opening of the school year by gathering as a community at the Mass of the Holy Spirit.* If you have ever wished someone would explain the Mass, this Lunch and Learn session is for you!
Using the metaphor of a dinner party, presenters Andrea Fontana (Center for Jesuit Education) and Brian Taberski (Campus Ministry, Theology & Religious Studies) will help you understand the basic structure and rituals of the Roman Catholic Mass and learn more about the tradition of celebrating Mass of the Holy Spirit in Jesuit education. Join other SU students, staff and faculty for complimentary lunch, an interactive presentation and Q&A.
Hosted by Campus Ministry and the Center for Jesuit Education.
Please register here by Friday, Sept. 27, to ensure enough soup, bread and salad is ordered.
*Seattle University's annual Mass of the Holy Spirit will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 3rd at Immaculate Conception Church (820 18th Ave.–18th and E. Marion).
