About Dan Wall, Expeditors President and CEO
Dan Wall started his career in Seattle as a messenger responsible for clients’ customs documents in 1987. He transitioned to take on various operational roles in airfreight and customs brokerage before serving as the District’s Import Supervisor. In 1992, Wall was promoted to District Manager of Denver and won Quality Branch of the Year in 1995 due to his clear focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
In 1996, he became a Project Manager in Detroit and managed the Central Process Center. A year later, he was named District Manager of Seattle, which also went on to win Quality Branch of the Year in 1999 and Global Branch of the Year in 2000. With a passion for customer service and a focus on developing those around him, Wall continued to hone his leadership skills. From March 2002 to December 2004, he was the Global Director of Account Management, responsible for developing and retaining top global accounts. He was selected to be Vice President of Order Management in January 2004 and transitioned to Senior Vice President of Ocean Services in September 2004.
Wall was promoted to President of Global Products in 2015 and oversaw many of Expeditors’ core transportation and service offerings. He assumed the role of President of Global Services in 2023 to drive Expeditors’ business development, risk management and insurance, and training and personnel development efforts. In 2024, he transitioned to President of Global Geographies, where he led Expeditors' district offices and employees in 100 countries and managed global, regional, and local operational processes and efficiencies. Wall was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2025 after serving on Expeditors’ Senior Leadership team for over 20 years.
Wall is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, IATA/FIATA certified, and earned his Executive Leadership MBA from Seattle University. Among his notable accomplishments, he was instrumental in launching Expeditors’ Environmental program and creating Opportunity Knocks, which provides paid internships and work studies to underserved youth and young adults, and Opportunity Knocks for Veterans, a recruiting program for those who served in the United States military.
