The annual Moot Court Banquet stands as a cherished tradition, offering the Board an opportunity to gather in celebration of the many accomplishments achieved throughout the academic year. It is a time to reflect on the hard work, dedication, and collective commitment that have sustained and advanced the Moot Court program.

A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Golden Gavel Awards. These prestigious honors are bestowed upon two members from each class who have consistently exemplified the values of leadership, accountability, and unwavering dedication to the Moot Court Board. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their administrative and committee responsibilities, and their dependability and positive demeanor have been instrumental in ensuring the Board’s continued success and cohesion. Their contributions, often made quietly and without expectation of recognition, have not gone unnoticed.

In addition to the Golden Gavel Awards, we will take this opportunity to formally recognize those inducted into the Order of the Barristers—an esteemed national honor society that celebrates excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing. Induction into the Order is a significant achievement and reflects a sustained record of excellence in advocacy through participation in competitions, clinics, and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities that develop and demonstrate legal skills.

Finally, and most meaningfully, the banquet allows us to honor our graduating members. These students have contributed greatly to the strength and legacy of the Moot Court Board through their participation in competitions, mentorship of younger members, and service to the law school community. Their efforts have left an indelible mark, and we are proud to recognize their achievements as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their legal careers.

We look forward to celebrating these accomplishments together and expressing our appreciation for the extraordinary work of our members.
