The Presidential Speaker Series presents Jean Twenge, PhD.
Jean Twenge, PhD, Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University, is the author of more than 190 scientific publications and seven books. Dr. Twenge frequently gives talks and seminars on generational differences and raising children in the digital age based on a dataset of 42 million people. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. She publishes her latest analyses and updates on the Generation Tech substack.
The Presidential Speaker Series, launched last year, is returning for the 2024-2025 academic year. The series focuses on freedom of speech, viewpoint diversity, and campus discourse. Open to all members of the Seattle University community, the speaker series will bring nationally known thinkers and academics to campus. Civil discourse across disagreement is essential for our academic and personal growth, as well as for the health of our democracy.
