Dr. Kate Manne, a professor of feminist philosophy at Cornell University, will be giving a talk entitled "Sensitivity and Survival." She is the author of three books, Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny, Entitled: How Male Privilege Hurts Women, and Unshrinking: How to Face Fatphobia, which was nominated for a National Book Award. This talk is part of the Seattle University Philosophy Department's annual Endowed Lecture on Human Values, a speaker series that has included renowned scholars such as Charles Mills and Myisha Cherry. The talk will be followed by a book signing, where each of her books will be available for purchase.
