DESCRIPTION:LinkUp is an exciting networking and micro-mentoring event that
  connects current Arts & Sciences (A&S) students with A&S alumni and frien
 ds of the College.\n\n \n\nThis is the 10th year of this event and we are 
 excited to bring alumni and students together for an evening of informatio
 n sharing and connections. \n\n \n\nDesigned to be casual\, informal and a
 pproachable\, this annual event encourages students majoring in social sci
 ences and humanities to explore career pathways and learn from alumni and 
 friends of the College.\n\n \n\nEvent Details\n\nPlease note that students
  and mentors have different arrival times.\n\nStudents attend from 4:00 p.
 m. - 6:30 p.m. Student RegistrationMentors attend from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.
 m. Mentor Registration\n\nThis event will have several rounds of connectio
 ns. The first round will be a warmup\, students and mentors will be paired
  randomly. After the first round of connections\, students will have a cha
 nce to connect with mentors of their choice. We will have information at e
 ach table listing mentor backgrounds for students to select mentors with s
 imilar interests who are able to attend the in-person event.\n\nPrior to t
 he networking rounds\, students will participate in a short workshop where
  they learn the basics of networking\, practice introducing themselves\, a
 nd how to request future informational conversations from professional men
 tors.\n\nWhy participate in LinkUp?\n\nStudents receive answers to profess
 ional and personal questions and concerns from people who have similar deg
 rees and interests. Meet with people who don't have linear pathways who ca
 n provide lots of insight to the career process.\n\nMentors benefit by hel
 ping students navigate the road ahead - making an impact. LinkUp also prov
 ides the opportunity to reflect on your experiences and knowledge.\n\n \n\
 nFocused on College of Arts and Sciences students\, but all SU students ar
