On Monday, November 24th, from noon to 1:00 p.m., Seattle University School of Law is excited to welcome Judge Roopali Desai from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  She will join an interview with Professor Sital Kalantry and Dean Anthony E. Varona.

This event is a collaboration between Seattle University's Roundglass India Center, Seattle University School of Law's Access to Justice Institute, and Seattle University School of Law's Dean's Office.

About Judge Roopali Desai:

Roopali Harshad Desai (born 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a distinguished federal jurist currently serving as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, having received her commission on October 3, 2022. Her appointment by President Joe Biden marked a historic milestone: she became the first South Asian-American judge to serve on the Ninth Circuit.
