On Monday, November 24th, from noon to 1:00 p.m., Seattle University School of Law is excited to welcome Judge Roopali Desai from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She will join a 'Luminaries in Law' interview with Professor Sital Kalantry and Dean Anthony E. Varona.
This event is a collaboration between Seattle University's Roundglass India Center, Seattle University School of Law's Access to Justice Institute, and Seattle University School of Law's Dean's Office.
About Judge Roopali Desai:
Roopali Harshad Desai (born 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a distinguished federal jurist currently serving as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, having received her commission on October 3, 2022. Her appointment by President Joe Biden marked a historic milestone: she became the first South Asian-American judge to serve on the Ninth Circuit.
