Bios
Arthur Derksen is obsessed with remembering and destined to forget. Their current work enacts cathartic transformations which seek meaning beyond preservation. They make art that re-frames and composts memory—letting nature show them how to forget, and forgetting as an act of renewal.

Eva Derksen is a tinkerer and dilettante. Most of her work happens between studio and home, where buses, trains, grocery stores, and sidewalks become everyday muses and sites of investigation. She is considering what it means to be a person among people and a people among things, often thinking in terms of relationships and inter-actions, perennially attending to residues and remains

Together, Eva and Arthur create situations that reckon with knowing, not knowing, remembering and forgetting. Their practice works in service of curiosity and connection.
