The Church is in a historic moment. Across the globe, Catholics are actively discerning about women’s leadership in the church, including access to diaconal ministry—and ordinary Catholics have been invited into the conversation. Pope Francis called the Synod on Participation, Communion and Mission, to listen to the whole People of God, and Pope Leo XIV has signaled his commitment to carrying the synodal path forward.
 
All are invited to join us for a lively and hope-filled interactive educational gathering that covers:

• the history of the diaconate;
• new Catholic teaching on women;
• the work of Discerning Deacons during the Synod on Synodality;
• and concrete ways to participate in the Church's ongoing discernment about women in ministry and the diaconate during the Synod’s Implementation Phase.
