DESCRIPTION:Seattle University School of Law and Campus Ministry welcome th
 e university community\, alumni\, and friends to Red Mass\, the traditional
  gathering to ask for blessings and guidance and to reflect on all judicial
  proceedings. People of all faith backgrounds are invited to attend.\n\n \n
 \nAll are welcome for the Mass\, reception\, or both.\n\n \n\nMass at 5:30 
 p.m.\nChapel of St. Ignatius\n\n \n\nMembers of the Judiciary and Law Facul
 ty are invited to gather at 5:10 p.m. in the Sullivan Hall lobby to join th
 e procession.\n\n \n\nThe Mass will be presided over by Rev. Philip L. Boro
 ughs\, S.J.: Former President of the College of the Holy Cross from 2012 to
  2021. Rev. Boroughs is currently lodging at the Arrupe Jesuit Residence at
  Seattle University.\n\n \n\nReception at 6:30 p.m.\nSullivan Hall\n\nThe r
 eception will feature remarks from Judge Anita Crawford-Willis.\n\n \n\nAbo
 ut Judge Crawford-Willis:\n\nJudge Anita Crawford-Willis is the current Pre
 siding Judge of the Seattle Municipal Court. She was appointed to the Seatt
 le Municipal Court bench in 2017 after nearly 30 years in public service as
  a Public Defender\, Judge Pro Tem\, and assistant deputy chief at the Offi
 ce of Administrative Hearings. In the role at OAH\, she ran the Seattle off
 ice (the largest in the state)\, which included supervising judges and staf
 f.\n\n \n\nA native of Seattle\, Judge Crawford-Willis grew up in the Centr
 al District. Both of her parents were proud members of the Machinists Union
  (IAM 751) and worked on the Boeing production line for 35 years. As a grad
 uate of Seattle University and its Law School\, she has been a dedicated al
 umni leader—mentoring and empowering students to pursue their goals. Judge 
 Crawford-Willis has been honored with numerous awards for her work and is c
 urrently a member of the SU's Board of Trustees. She is also the chair-elec
 t for the District and Municipal Court Association. Until recently\, Judge 
 Crawford-Willis served as a commissioner on the Washington State Supreme Co
 urt’s Gender and Justice Commission. In 2022\, she was the recipient  of th
 e Outstanding Judge Award at the Washington State Bar Association's 2022 AP
 EX Awards.
