Come join Seattle University's Japanese Student Association (SUJSA) for our 5th Annual Obon Cultural Festival!

Our theme this year is Kōfuku (幸福), the Japanese word for happiness. Inspired by the lily of the valley, a flower that symbolizes the return of happiness, we've crafted an event that invites everyone to reconnect by focusing on the small moments of joy in bringing people together.

We'll have traditional Japanese games like Shuriken Throw and Kingyo Sukui (goldfish scooping), as well as local vendors and live performances to enjoy. We're also excited to share a variety of traditional Japanese foods. We hope you'll find something that brings you comfort and joy.

Feel free to come dressed in a Yukata, Jinbei, Kimono, or whatever makes you feel comfortable as you join us in celebrating this special day.

Whether you're reconnecting or experiencing Obon for the first time, we hope you'll join us in celebrating. See you there!
