DESCRIPTION:Seattle University School of Law welcomes the university commun
 ity\, alumni\, and friends to our annual Veterans Day Reception to recogni
 ze those in our community who have served our country in the armed forces.
 \n\n \n\nThe reception will feature a color guard by the Seattle Universit
 y ROTC students\, a ceremony to honor prisoners of war and soldiers who ar
 e missing in action\, remarks from a member of the Seattle University Vete
 ran Law Society\, and a keynote address by Fabio Dworschak\, special couns
 el at Miller Nash and a former Army medic. Appetizers and drinks will be p

 day\, November 14th\nTime: 5:00-7:00pm\n\n \n\nAbout Fabio Dworschak\n\nFa
 bio Dworschak is a member of the firm’s energy and shipping team. His pr
 actice focuses on environmental and commercial disputes and appeals. Fabio
  represents private and public clients in a wide variety of disputes arisi
 ng from the Clean Water Act (CWA)\, Comprehensive Environmental Response\,
  Compensation\, and Liability Act (CERCLA)\, Washington’s Model Toxics C
 ontrol Act (MTCA)\, breach of contract\, and business and environmental to
 rts.\n\n \n\nFabio also advises on environmental and natural resources mat
 ters\, including regulatory issues related to the CWA\, National Environme
 ntal Policy Act (NEPA)\, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)\, T
 oxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)\, and tribal law. Fabio has broad exper
 ience with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging c
 ontaminants. He helps clients to investigate possible environmental contam
 ination on current and legacy sites and advises on possible liabilities re
 lated to enforcement and litigation.\n\n \n\nFabio began his legal career 
 as a law clerk for Judge Rolando Olvera in the Southern District of Texas.
  While in law school\, he served as an extern in the Washington State Supr
 eme Court for Justice Sheryl Gordon McCloud and in King County Superior Co
 urt for Judge Carol A. Schapira (Ret.).\n\n \n\nBefore law school\, Fabio 
 served as an Army medic during deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq\, earni
 ng the Combat Medic Badge in Iraq for medical services rendered while unde
 r hostile fire. Fabio continues to serve others by devoting significant ti
 me to providing pro bono assistance to his community\, veterans\, and indi
 viduals who have suffered injustice at the hand of government actors
